- I try to have a lot of projects going because I am a published author. I have had ten nonfitcion books traditionally published and I often write about forensic science, criminal law, and entertaining using interactive events. It's a good mix and keeps me passionate. I hold a degree in criminal justice and am a trained forensic artist. I am also Editor for a forensic science/law enforcement quarterly that goes out to members in IAI, a professional organization.
I raised a capuchin monkey for Helping Hands. It made a big impact on my life because my family had her for 13 years. She is now a helper -companion for a quadriplegic and, yes, I miss her every day, but I am happy she is making someone;'s life better.
I just started my own publishing company, Primate Press LLC, because there are projects I don't want to wait so long to see come to fruition (and it's a good hedge against rejection). To that end, I need to promote my books and look for marketing ideas that don't alienate or offend - - I don't like high pressure sales tactics.

I'd like to hear from other career-oriented women about how they juggle their responsibilites and manage to earn a decent living. It's always a struggle and life just gets more costly for families.

- Favorite Music:
- All music except heavy metal (gives me a headache). I love classical anything. Like New Age and Philip Glass. Contemporary favorites are women: LeAnn Rimes, Natasha Bedington, and Kelly Clarkson.
- Favorite TV Shows:
- I watch all the TV Crime dramas because, well, it's what I do. I also give programs to mystery groups and writers who work on crime novels.
